Walk into any sporting goods store and you’ll find dozens of styles of athletic shoes — maybe even hundreds. Yet in direct opposition to that, there’s a movement of people running just as our forebears did millennia ago: with no shoes whatsoever.

Leading By Example
Last week we had the opportunity to talk about the amazing Jack Lalanne and his 95th birthday. Jack is a man who is a true fitness leader. He didn’t get there just by building gyms though, he got there by being an example. He isn’t the only fitness leader who leads by example, that is something that true leaders do at any age.
The Old Man and The ‘D’
As children our mothers told us to finish our milk because it would make us big and strong. It turns out that the vitamin D enriched creamy goodness many thoughtlessly poor over cereal every morning doesn’t just build strong bones. 2009 has been a banner year for vitamin D related research and has seen the publication of numerous studies revealing that vitamin D isn’t only essential for building bones but serves in a variety of ways to help age against the machine.
